Forum: bookmobile Subject: Turn Off TV Week idea

Partly inspired by archive.org and the Bookmobile, our elementary school librarian, Ms. Kaufman, is planning to have a children's book-making session during Turn Off the TV Week (April 21-27). What an interesting tie-in that gives plenty of lead time for planning! Just thought I'd throw her idea out there...

Our school doesn't have a fancy setup like the bookmobile, but she plans spiral binding and simple sewing.

Forum: bookmobile Subject: Kids making books for the library

The books that kids make are often just wonderful. I am glad your school will be doing it.

Please think about scanning it and adding it to the library. Empowering children to think they can publish and be seen around the world could be quite inspiring.

kids writing for kids around the world-- I would like to see the books that are being written in areas that are in the news.
